Puxi Campus G6 | Exploring the Charm of Chinese Language While Strolling Through the Campus

November 13, 2023

On the morning of November 7th, 24 teachers and students from the sixth-grade non-native language group of SHSID conducted a unique outdoor experimental class. The teachers led the students to experience the autumn scenery on campus and exercise their Chinese language skills through recording and expression.

Students joyfully explored every corner of the campus, carefully capturing various scenes. They expressed themselves in their unique language, describing the clear water of ZhongXing Lake, the green lawns in front of Longmen Building, and the magnificent buildings next to ZhenTao Building. Their language was vibrant, injecting new life into every scenic spot.

As they reached the school history exhibition at the art center, teachers from the non-native language group provided a detailed explanation of the school's development process. The students listened attentively, their eyes filled with a thirst for knowledge and respect for history. They personally experienced the profound culture of the school, fully utilizing the Chinese vocabulary and sentences they had learned to express their feelings and opinions.

This activity not only honed students' expression skills but also served as a spiritual dialogue between them and the campus. They felt the warmth and inclusiveness of the campus, becoming more integrated into the campus family. In the future, the Chinese language group will continue to organize similar activities, providing students with more opportunities for display and communication to stimulate their enthusiasm for Chinese language learning. Let’s witness their growth and progress together!
