Grade 12 Assembly: Mixed Choir

On the 12th grade assembly on Friday, September 22, Mixed Choir made a promotion to recruit new members. Mixed Choir is a choir representing Shanghai High School students of both the local and international divisions, ranging from 9th to 12th grade students. Mixed Choir performed on many stages in the SHS community and local communities, including Art Festival, Talent Show, MIX Day, art exhibitions, and other public welfare activities. Student representatives of Mixed Choir also shined in competitions such as acappella, chorus singing, and other musical performances. Mixed Choir continuously investigates new genres of music to experience many diverse types of music. Previous performing pieces include Chinese folk songs, western folk songs, movie theme songs, etc. The club attempts to enhance campus by advocating the highest forms of art by promoting harmonic vocal communications between people and people, people and music, and nature and music.

On the assembly, Mixed Choir invited anyone with an interest in music to join their journey. All members will receive training and practices every Wednesday and Thursday. Mixed Choir hopes to provide an enjoyable environment for students to explore music and singing. The students were left intrigued by this friendly and talented community. As the assembly ended, students went to class with melodies in their minds and courage to use their voices as instruments.
