SHSID Establishes Cooperative Relationship with Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing, ECNU
To build a world-class research-oriented and innovative education institution and enhance the cultivation of innovative literacy, a cooperation agreement was signed between Shanghai High School International Division and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing of East China Normal University, Shanghai, on September 18th.
On the afternoon of September 18th, Mr. Liu Lian, Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School, and Mr. Li Qingli, Director of the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing at East China Normal University, represented both parties in signing the cooperation agreement. Ms. Zhou Mei, Secretary of the Department of Communication at ECNU’s School of Communication and Electronic Engineering, Mr. Tian Yinghong, the Science and Innovation Advisor, Mr. Wang Haijian and Mr. Chen Jiangang, the Counselors, and Ms. Yao Shenghua, Creative Program Coordinator of SHSID Middle and Primary School, also attended the signing ceremony.
Before the signing ceremony officially began, the leaders of the school engaged in a friendly exchange with the visiting guests, warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude to East China Normal University's Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing for their visit and cooperation agreement with Shanghai High School International Division.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Li Qingli, Director of the Multidimensional Information Processing Key Laboratory, introduced the history of the laboratory and the current development of the students, affirmed the educational philosophy and cultivation policy of SHSID, expressed the strong will to support the science and technology education in the primary education stage, and expected to cooperate with SHSID in the exploration of a new education model.
Established in 1993, the International Division of Shanghai High School has advanced educational concepts and has been committed to cultivating internationally-minded individuals with a strong connection to China. Principal Liu Lian introduced the school's efforts in fostering social responsibility and global citizenship among middle and primary school students and expressed hope that this collaboration will provide students with more diversified choices, rich learning resources and broadened creative horizons. Ms. Yao Shenghua briefly outlined the school's current innovative curriculum and laboratory construction efforts.
During the ceremony, the International Division of Shanghai High School and the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Multidimensional Information Processing of East China Normal University reached a consensus on cooperation strategies and curriculum design. Both parties expressed their commitment to carrying out the cooperative work effectively and in accordance with the agreement.
Following the signing ceremony, accompanied by Principal Liu Lian, the visiting delegation toured the campus and gained a more detailed and comprehensive understanding of Shanghai High School International Division's 30-year development history and rich educational resources. Both parties expressed its intention for future collaboration, aiming to explore new avenues for student science and technology education and generate new experiences and outcomes.
