High School Students Performed Well in the British Biology Olympiad and BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China

Recently, the results of the British Biology Olympiad (BBO) and the BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China (BIO-USACN) were announced for the high school section students of Shanghai High School International Division. The students achieved excellent results. There are 43 students who have received global awards in the BBO in total: 11 students got Gold awards, 15 students got Silver awards, 6 students got Bronze awards, 7 students got Highly Commended awards, and 4 students got Commended awards. And there are 28 students who have received national awards in the BIO-USACN in total: 2 students got Gold awards, 5 students got Silver awards, 11 students got Bronze awards, and 10 students got Regional Honorable awards.

The BBO and BIO-USACN, the world’s leading biology competitions, both attract a large number of high school students from around the world each year. By participating in the two competitions, students are able to improve their biology skills and take a step towards their interests in medicine, biomedicine, biogenetics, and other biology-related majors.

These two competitions have a wide range of biological knowledge, and the members of the Biology Olympiad Club actively prepared for the competition under the leadership of two club teachers and the club leaders. Through expanding knowledge of biology, every member gained great progress through hard work and fully demonstrated scientific skills and academic potential. Congratulations to all the winners!
