Pudong Campus: Celebrating Children’s Day

On June 1st, in order to celebrate the annual National Children’s Day, SHSID Pudong Campus held a series of wonderful activities. At 8 o’clock in the morning, teachers warmly welcomed the students at the school gate. Big surprises have been prepared for the students by replacing the daily schedule with a variety of celebration activities. After receiving the exquisite candy from the teachers, students came to their respective classrooms with great anticipation.

At 8:50, teachers and students gathered in the auditorium to enjoy the splendid stage of “Talent Show”. The performances showing individuality and youthful enthusiasm received great and pleasant responses from the audience. The first opening was the instrumental performance ‘Summer’ brought by nine members of after-school club. The beautiful melody played as an impressive start for the whole show. The dance performance has shown great confidence and vigor. The piano solo, magic show, cross talk, and chorus were dizzying, fully reflecting the children’s artistic expertise and lively personality. The stage of ‘Talent Show’ was not only a platform for students to show themselves, but also an unforgettable memory to their childhood.

After the show, the excitement continued in homerooms. Students returned to their classrooms and participated in the carnival. Some classes played intriguing card games, and some classes were doing scientific experiments. Some classes received “mysterious letters” from parents, which were full of love and encouragement. Each homeroom was filled with students’ laughter and delight.

In the afternoon, all the teachers and students went to the cinema and watched a fun and touching movie. Students also received the Children’s Day gifts prepared by their homeroom teachers, marking a successful and memorable end to this day full of surprises. This is an extremely wonderful festival belongs to every child, and we wish everyone a happy childhood!
