G8 | Academic Competition: 2023 Intermediate & Senior Physics Challenge Awards

Recently, the results of the Intermediate & Senior Physics Challenge were announced. Eight students from the 8th grade of Shanghai High School International Division participated in the assessment and all won the award.

The British Physics Olympiad is a charitable trust overseen by a committee of trustees. It was initiated in 1979, and has been used as a qualifier for the selection of the UK Physics Team for the International Physics Olympiad since 1983.

The Physics Challenge is an exciting opportunity for students to stretch their lateral thinking skills and apply fundamental physical principles to novel situations. The Senior Physics Challenge is a single, one-hour paper that provides an excellent tool to assess and challenge student's ability to work at Key Stage 5 and beyond. The paper is suitable for students who have studied GCSE Science + Additional Science or GCSE Physics or equivalent.

A special shout out to the students for their outstanding performance during the exam. They have won 3 Global Gold, 3 Global Silver, and 2 Global Bronze I awards from the exam.
