G1-8 | Academic Competition: Berkeley mini Math Tournament Award Winning News
On May 27th and 28th, 2023, the Berkeley mini Math Tournament took place in Beijing. In the recent decade, the competition has established a remarkable culture of mathematics and has been dedicated to promoting students’ academic abilities, fostering their integrity as well as teamwork. Additionally, the competition encourages students to emerge outstanding and develop their passion in their core themes of future learning of Math.
Our students achieved brilliant results in the competition, which is the result of both the teachers’ and students’ efforts, demonstrating their outstanding capabilities and strong foundations in Math. Our school emphasizes on cultivating students’ full potential, guiding them in developing their strengths, and improving their general abilities and core competences. Meanwhile, we also focus on helping students practice their teamwork and creative thinking skills, encouraging them to always try, explore, and challenge themselves.
In this year’s Berkeley mini Math Tournament, Hans from class 8-1 won the national Individual Top 1 Award, and Robert from class 7-7 won the national Individual Top 3 Award. The participating teams won 12 Gold and 13 Silver medals in the Individual Award, 20 Gold and 10 Silver medals in the Puzzle Award, 25 Golds in the Team Award, 20 Gold and 10 Silver medals in the Relay Award, and finally 25 Gold and 5 Silver medals in the Team Overall Award. Their joyful smiles became the highlight of the Awarding Ceremony.
Once Again, congratulations to all the award-winning students from our school and we wish them all the best in the years to come!
