G1-5 Chinese Department: Write the Love and Hope for the Future of SHSID
SHSID is about to celebrate its 30th birthday. In order to send sincere blessings to the school, students in G1-5 couldn't help but pick up their pens and express their love.
G1: "Love in SHSID" Card Writing
Although the students in G1 have been in SHSID for less than a year, they quickly integrated into campus life. On the occasion of the school anniversary, in the name of love, the students were excited for the opportunity to write on the delicate small cards to record their love for SHSID.
In the cards, the students wrote about the natural beauty of SHSID that makes them feel close to nature and full of vitality. They also wrote down the wonderful feeling of friendship felt in every corner of the campus: in the library, sitting shoulder to shoulder with friends, swimming in the ocean of knowledge, on the playground, inviting friends and sharing good times together, on the basketball court, experiencing teamwork and healthy competition through sports. There was also a strong teacher-student and classmate relationship conveyed within the lines of text. For students, teachers are the beacon of knowledge, and they are also "father" or "mother” figures, who dispelled the anxiety or uneasiness when students first came to their new school. In SHSID, classmates also accompany each other to play and grow together.
Love is in SHSID, love is in the pen tip of the students, love is in the hearts of every student.
G2: Notes on "Spring in SHSID"
“A year’s plan starts with spring.” The students in G2, using their notes, searched for signs of spring around campus while appreciating the beauty of SHSID in their hearts and on paper.
Under the students' pens, in the dense forests, on the secluded path, on the emerald lawns, there are scenes of spring on campus that make them linger and never forget to return. Because of their love, they can appreciate every blade of grass and tree. The fragrant smell of water spruce and magnolia trees, the chirping of birds, the fragrance of fresh grass, the whispers of the breeze… The students see, hear, smell, and touch. Everything is apparent to the children's keen senses and recorded within their notes of love for the school.
The spring of the campus is captivating, perhaps because the children are the spring of campus!
G3: "Four Seasons in SHSID" Writing
Spring rhyme, summer time, autumn mood, winter shadow. The four seasons of SHSID are beautiful, and the campus life is colorful. See! Under the title of "Four Seasons on Campus", students recalled the past, wrote down three years they spent here with earnest and passionate feeling.
The students fondly recalled the spring reading month, absorbing nutrients from the soil of knowledge; in the summer arena, students sweat in the lively playground. As summer goes and autumn comes, osmanthus was fragrant, and students got together intimately under the golden ginkgo tree to learn and grow. The winter on the campus is also colorful because of the art festival and the bazaar. The warm and sweet red of Christmas stays in the students' pens for a long time.
On the campus of SHSID, students have gone through four seasons hand in hand, and the time of growing up in the "embrace" of the campus is what every child talks about most looks forward to!
G4: The Story of SHSID and I
Four years have passed in SHSID in the twinkling of an eye. On the occasion of the 30th birthday of their Alma mater, the fourth-grade students recorded the most vivid memories in their campus life. The students wrote their best wishes to their school under the title "The Story of SHSID and I". In each piece of sincere composition, the students' enthusiasm for campus activities, love for the beautiful campus, gratitude to the faculty, and reflection on self-growth are displayed.
Looking back on the campus, the students were surprised to find that they have grown up and steadily improved over the past four years. In tasks and activities, students have grown into more independent, confident, resilient individuals. Despite some disagreements during the group project, the students made concerted efforts to complete the cooperative presentations; although the process was difficult, they broke through it during the sports meet; although nervous on the stage at the art festival, they learned to calm down and bloom the light of confidence...
Every blade of grass and stick, every brick and tile, all retain the good memories of the students. The students are proud to be members of SHSID. Happy 30th birthday!
G5: Graduation Poetry Writing
"Poetry is a place where thoughts and emotions gallop, sprouting in the heart becomes ambition, and expressing it becomes poetry." Poetry-like years must also be eulogized with poetry-like language. Graduation season is approaching. After learning poetry creation, the fifth-grade students expressed their reluctance for primary school life or their infinite longing for middle school life in their penning of each word with deep affection.
Looking back on primary school life, the fifth-grade students never forget their teachers, friends and even every plant and tree on campus. In their graduation poems, there are praises for the beauty of four seasons in the campus, farewells for the friendship between classmates, reviews of their impressions when they first entered the campus in the first grade, and expectations for the good times in middle school. The growth of teenagers is like the flourishing of bamboo shoots after the rain. They are thriving day by day, looking back on the past when they were all so young, now grown up and moving on. Graduating from primary school means that a wider world is ahead of them. We hope that the graduates will start and set sail again, and not be afraid to ride the wind and waves.
