Puxi G2-3: Departure in Spring, Unlimited Happiness
Filled with immense joy, on May 17th, G2 and G3 of SHSID Puxi Campus set off for their spring field trip. The excursion took them to Ganso Dream World, located in Zhaoxiang Town, Qingpu, a comprehensive center for children's creative learning and exploration.
Upon arrival they entered a spacious hall, where they encountered a playful clown who skillfully pinched balloons into a myriad of shapes, evoking delight from all who watched in amazement. Suddenly, the clown let go of all the balloons he held in his hand, and with a flourish they all rushed up to the ceiling. A surge of exhilaration gushed over everyone as they watched the balloons floating away. It seemed their own dreams took flight, filling each wondering child with excitement.
Entering the Dream World, with curiosity and surprise in children’s’ eyes, they began a treasure hunt. The mission they were tasked with was to help the “giant egg family” find the “owl guardian.” Determined in their resolve, the expeditionary teams sifted through the clues and identified the owl guardian, saving the egg family.
Theatrics took center stage: with a movie about the valiant efforts of adorable rabbits dutifully collecting ingredients in order to make their delectable convections. The children sat neatly in rows and watched the charming rabbits in the movie, to celebrate the king's birthday, went through all kinds of hardships, finally procuring four essential elements to complete the pastries. Within the span of just half an hour, it appeared as if children had morphed into bunnies, mesmerized, enamored, swaying involuntarily to the music and breaking into jubilant dance at the end of the production.
Everyone enjoyed a self-prepared lunch in the picnic area. As conscientious individuals the children kept their manners; just as in the SHSID cafeteria, they consciously collected the garbage and put it into trash bag when they were done, preserving the pristine beauty of the dreamy park.
Children walked into the real production line of Ganso Food Factory and witnessed the birth process of a dessert with their own eyes.
It was time for everyone’s favorite activity: DIY cupcakes. Although it was their first time for many students, they quickly fell into the role of pastry chefs. From placing flowers, decorating with sprinkles and icing, even packaging, the children completed every step with glee. The final exquisite and small cakes reflected children’s dexterity. Observing the cakes they made with their own hands, they felt a sense of accomplishment, and really wanted to eat them in one bite! But everyone carefully packed the cakes to share with family, knowing the fruits of their labor would be far more delicious if they shared them with loved ones.
During field trip, the children clustered together like spring flowers. When some were happy, they shared joy. When others needed help, they lent a helping hand. Although the weather was not perfect, because of the company and support of their peers, the scenery along the way became even more beautiful.
