Grade 9: Assembly - Explore Interest in Latin Dance

During the morning assembly of May 9, 2023, Arianna from 9(4) made a speech about her interests and ways to explore interests. Firstly, Arianna introduced her interest in Latin dance. She described her experience of learning Latin dance and attending a variety of competitions since she was young, drawing the other students deeply into the story. She also briefly talked about all the help her Latin dance teacher provided her with. Then, Arianna introduced her second major interest— teaching. Due to family inspiration and her passion, she was motivated to teach both on and out of campus and work as a volunteer. Lastly, Arianna suggested some methods for the other students to further develop their interests, such as picking the right activities. From the speech, many students learned the importance and values of interests and ways to pursue them. A loud and lasting round of applause followed as Arianna walked off the stage.
