Grade 10: Field Trip
The weather finally cleared up after days of rain. On Monday, May 8th, 10th graders embarked on their trip to Haichang Ocean Park. The park features both aspects of an amusement park and an aquarium. This allowed students to choose which parts of the park to visit based on their interests.
The roller coaster and the water rafting were two of the most popular rides, with thrilling drops and water splashes.
The aquarium had a variety of ocean dwellers, including dozens of jellyfish species displayed in one area. Many students decided to try out the specialties provided in the park, such as ice creams resembling jellyfish and polar bears.
Because students had limited time, they needed to actively manage their time, choose their priorities, and take the initiative. Some decided to focus on rides, others explored the aquariums, and still others enjoyed the views on the sightseeing cable cars. The cable cars connected the two parts of the park overhead, offering an impressive view of the entire area, including the ice mountain and the volcano.
The experience was surreal, offering a break from the 10th graders’ intense lives. Even after the students returned to campus, they still conversed joyously with their friends, discussing their unique experiences. This special day in May was truly unforgettable and will likely become a treasured memory within the students' hearts.
