Primary and Middle School English Department | Earth Day

On Sunday, 23rd April, Primary and Middle School English department hosted an Earth Day event in the library of Zhongxing Building for grades 4, 5, and 6 students. Students were greeted with eco-friendly snacks and a range of earth-themed activities, including nature diamanté poetry writing, earth poetry analysis, global preservation reading comprehension exercises, and eco-friendly bookmark creation.

The English teachers involved promoted the school’s mission of responsible global citizenship through emphasis on how and why we all have responsibility for protecting and conserving our planet. Furthermore, to reward student contributions, pin badges and books were rewarded as prizes for student contribution and engagement with the event.

Moving beyond Earth Day, we hope that students will cherish and reflect upon this event in order to move towards preserving and conserving our planet as responsible global citizens.
