Grade 11: PA Lecture Focusing on Competitive Programming Contests

On Apr. 14, at the ZT Lecture Hall, Maxwell He from Grade 11 gave a PA lecture for students of SHSID. This PA lecture focused on competitive programming (CP) contests in terms of CodeForces.

Maxwell introduced the competitive programming contests to students and how they could prepare for the CP contests. He also gave students some demonstration examples. Maxwell has extensive programming competition experience having competed both domestically and internationally. He explained the way of algorithm and programming exercises through CodeForces’ website. And he also introduced the C++ editor and CP Editor for all the platforms, i.e., Win/Mac/Linux.

At the end of the lecture, he answered the questions raised by other students, for example how CP contests are different from competitions of other subjects, and for whom these contests are good fits.
