Grade 11 Assembly: Award Ceremony for Global Citizens’ Day
On April 6, Grade-11 students gathered in XM Annex for the exciting announcement of the Global Citizens’ Day (GCD) group-activity awards. On the second day of the three-day trip, classes and individual students formed groups to compete in a series of activities. Classes earned awards based on the points they had received. During the morning session, classes competed in the events together. In first place were Class 1 and Class 4, in second place was Class 2, and in third place was Class 6.
In the afternoon session, students formed their own groups to participate. Team 9 came in first place, Team 2 in second place, and Team 8 in third place. The leaders of the groups who had won awards were asked to go on stage with the promise of food as the prize. It was a very inspiring moment that celebrated the hard work students had put into the GCD activities.
The second award announcement was for the Class Microfilm Exhibition. On the first night of the trip, all the students gathered to watch the films made by different classes to honor the values of Global Citizens’ Day. 1st Prize was awarded to Classes 1-3, Class 5, and Class 9; 2nd Prize was given to Class 8 and Class 10, ;and 3rd Prize was granted to Class 4, Class 6, and Class 7. The Microfilm Exhibition was an incredible experience that allowed the student body to bond with laughter and admiration. The students who won the prizes went on stage to receive a cash prize, rewarding the hard work students had put into their microfilms. Mr. Hong, the G11 head teacher, hopes that students will continue to be creative and passionate like they displayed in these videos. This award ceremony served as a wonderful conclusion to the Global Citizens’ Day.
