Middle School Chinese Department: 2022 Xuhui District Art Competition Recitation Awards Winners

On March 29, the award ceremony for the winning students of the 2022 Xuhui Primary and Secondary School Students' Art Competition -- Recitation Competition was held in ZhongXing Building library. Under the guidance of our teachers, the students of SHSID middle school section won one first prize, one second prize and three third prizes. Ms. Liu Qiong, the teaching supervisor of middle school Chinese department, presented the awards to the winning students.

Arden from class 7-10 and Ryan from class 7-8 recited Liang Qichao's "Young China", which was full of emotion and evocative, expressing the great responsibility and brilliant prospect of Chinese youth. Claire and Xiaoxiao from class 7-9 recited "A Letter to Graduates" by Hu Shi, reflecting the positive attitudes of contemporary youth to "seek out problems, develop interests and have confidence".

Victoria and Lorraine from class 7-5, Elaine from class 7-1, and Alina from class 7-8 collaborated to recite Lin Huiyin's famous piece "You are the April on This World", which was fresh, natural, and soft, just like a spring breeze, giving people a refreshing auditory experience. Dylan from Class 7-9 and Heidi from Class 7-11 recited the poem "Sail" by Russian writer Lermontov with strong and clear voices. In addition, Alexandra from class 7-1, Irune from class 7-7, Cici from class 7-9 and Michelle and Cici from class 7-11 jointly recited the original work "To Youth", which conveyed a clear and prominent theme. The positive contents, sincere and emotional recitation resonated deeply with the audience.

7-9 Dylan, 7-11 Heidi: "Sail"

This recitation contest enriched the students' after-school life, improved their artistic cultivation and language expression ability, and also built a platform for students who love recitation performance to showcase, communicate, learn, and practice! We hope they will use art to build their dreams in the future, set sail with confidence, and sail away in their vast and diverse lives.
