Grade 9 Assembly: Enjoying the Beauty in Life

March 24, 2023

On Tuesday, March 21, 9th-grade students gathered in the ZT lecture hall for a grade-wide assembly. This week, Minnie Chen from class 9(1) was invited to give a speech about her art-related hobbies (like photography, drawing, and digital design) and how she had started integrating all these hobbies into her life. She began by explaining how much art meant to her and how interesting it was to be able to create all kinds of art pieces, sometimes just for fun. Minnie likes creating posters and taking photos for school clubs and groups, all of which showed her already-excellent skills at making art. At the end of her presentation, Minnie encouraged students not to worry too often about if their hobby can become their career path and reassured them that passion is always enough of a reason to keep doing something. Those in the audience were astonished by how skilled Minnie had grown since she began pursuing her interest in art, were inspired by her resolve, and gave her a huge round of applause.

Finally, Eric from 10(5) promoted the competitive robotics club he had started, encouraging 9th graders interested in programming and writing to join him, bringing this week’s assembly to a close.
