History and Geography Department: John Locke Essay Competition Lunchtime Workshop

At lunchtime on March 16, Ian from Grade 12 and a High School History teacher, Mr. Josh Pickart, organized a workshop for high school students who are interested in the John Locke Essay Competition (History Subject). First, Ian gave an overview of the competition based on his own experience, and shared with the students how to deal with the "broad historical questions". He advised students to choose their favorite prompt and used his own choice as an example to illustrate the importance of using logic and specific cases in the essay. Mr. Josh Pickart then provided some useful tips to the students on certain historical topics, and had a Q&A session with the students.
