High School Chinese Department: Longyin Club and Huayu Debate Club Shine Brilliantly in the Club Showcase

There are a group of students who love Chinese language and culture very much at SHSID.

The High School Chinese Department also attaches great importance to combine students' interests with language teaching and cultural dissemination. It established the Longyin Club and the Huayu Debate Club many years ago and equipped them with relevant instructors and resources.

On March 15, members of the Longyin Club and the Huayu Debate Club presented two colorful performances with Chinese characteristics.

With soft music rising gently, three women in red skirts danced with the wind. In the sun, their faces were beautiful and bright, smiling and flowery, and their dancing movements were light, flexible, and graceful. The audience quietly enjoyed the grand feast of the classical performance.

Soon after the performance of the Longyin Club, the Huayu Debate Club began to debate. "What is necessary for students of SHSID to join the Huayu Debate Club"? "Because debate can take you to read, search, and feel, and you can know more stories, more friends, and feel more life..." The two members of the debate club listed many reasons why people had to join the Huayu Debate club.

The club showcase has greatly enhanced the popularity of two clubs at SHSID. The High School Chinese Department continues to explore new courses, clubs, and activities which can well combine Chinese language and culture teaching with students’ interests.
