Grade 12: Poster Selection

March 15, 2023

With the gradual arrival of the graduation season, students and teachers also ushered in the selection of class posters for the second semester. As these will be the last class posters Grade-12 students design, the theme of this time’s class posters revolves around the graduation season. After several weeks of careful planning and design, the results of the selection were finally announced in March. Congratulations to classes 12(3) and 12(5) for winning first prize, classes 12(2), 12(10), and 12(8) for winning second prize, classes 12(9), 12(7), and 12(1) for winning third prize, and classes 12(6) and 12(4) for winning fourth prize!

This time, the students had more fun with making the posters in terms of creativity and aesthetics. Many students decided to experiment with collages, rather than making a poster in the traditional, rectangular shape. The resulting posters — displaying a variety of styles and forms — were colorful and beautiful. Many class posters also conveyed deeper meanings, demonstrating the unforgettable nature of high school life as well as the students’ longing for the future.

Class 12(3)’s poster, which received first prize, displayed a group of birds flying over the sun. The birds were attached onto the poster one by one, creating a wonderful collage. Not only did the poster show a harmonious use of various colors, but it also conveyed hope to students who are about to take their final, grad exams.

Another poster that won first prize was from Class 12(5). This poster showed a school bus driving out of clusters of flowers, surrounded by flowers extending out in a collage. The vacant spaces on the poster were filled with signatures and messages from students of 12(5), which not only highlighted the spirit of the class, but also reflected the students’ nostalgia for high school life and their hopes for the future.

As the last class poster selection for Grade-12 students, all of the class posters were made meticulously. The students’ hard work was worthy of praise. Lastly, congratulations to everyone for making it to the graduation season. We wish you all can enjoy the last few months of high school and step into the future with confidence and hope.
