Grade 10 Assembly: Sharing on CPR

March 13, 2023

On March 8th, students of Grade 10 listened during assembly to the informative presentation given by Brady from 10(6) on the medical procedure known as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Brady started the presentation with a basic example of a situation where lives are at stake, then proceeded to explain the misconceptions about CPR. He emphasized the importance of the procedure in saving lives, and declared different disclaimers while also giving suggestions to the audience, including the tip to not use CPR unless licensed or having studied the procedure. Brady then outlined the basic steps of CPR and stressed the importance of having an AED unit, which was usually simple to use and can be found in many areas of modern cities like Shanghai. Though it is likely that many have seen CPR used in media or have heard of it, they probably learned new things about the procedure today and gained a better understanding of the intricacies of CPR.
