Primary and Middle School English Department| International Women’s Day -- Embrace Equity

Primary and Middle School English department hosted lunch-time events with grades 4-8 to discuss the importance of this day and the topics of equality and equity.

Students entered the library in ZX building and entered the Equity Cafe! They chose readings from a menu from writers that unveil the importance of embracing a society founded on equity. Opportunities were also taken to complete tasks and activities, discuss the importance of women rights with older students, and listen to an emphatic speech delivered by Jennifer and Sara both from grade 8.

We hope that students will take this experience and enact change in their daily lives and move towards a world of equity.
