Grade 10 Assembly: Laser Shooting

On March 1, the sophomores listened to a speech delivered by Kevin from Class 10(5) about laser shooting, a niche sport that SHSID graciously provided the environment for.

Kevin organized his lecture into three major sections: his introduction to the sport, experience while participating in the sport, and his takeaways from this sport. Throughout this presentation, aspects of what differentiates shooting from other sports were introduced and also how techniques learned from this sport could be applied into daily life. For instance, he talked about the importance of breaking cleverly to ensure prime focus spent on every task as well as the ability to withstand crowd pressure to prevent getting swayed by the reactions of others. Despite many students hearing about such a sport before, this lecture provided them with insight and lessons told from a person with first-hand experience.
