Puxi Campus G2 Chinese: Where is Spring?

March 2, 2023

At the beginning of the new semester, Grade 2 students in Puxi campus walked out of the classroom and searched for spring footprints in SHSID.

The second graders were divided into two groups, some with iPads to capture the traces of spring, others with butterflies, bees, and kite worksheets, filling them with unique spring patterns. The students rushed out of the classroom with the materials excitedly, looking for spring. But spring was like a shy little girl, playing a hide and seek game with our little students.

A green bud on the edge of the stone seam is like spring’s eyes? Deep in the woods, there are two small flowers in bloom, which are like the sleepy eyes of spring. Little leaves deep in the grass, that's a mouth in spring. The dense buds on the dry branches are the notes of spring.

G2 students who were looking for spring with iPads, looked inch by inch, and found a little amount of young shoots, so they couldn’t help but raise the iPad to take photos. They photographed the freshly budged green leaves high on the branches, the millet-sized young leaves hidden deep in the roots, and the warm sun scattered in the spring mist, and they shared their discoveries with each other.

The students with the practice worksheets were even more happy, holding the hollow papers and looking around. Isn't this a butterfly fanning the wings of a flower? The hollow butterfly border fills the spring flower scene, this butterfly is unique! How can there be a chick in the inch-tall grass over there? At first glance, the chicks are dressed in emerald green clothes and blend in with the grass. Some students found the sparkling dew under the spring sun and put it in their kites, isn't this the kite that tells the story of spring?

The students shouted excitedly but searched carefully, being afraid of disturbing the spring that has just woken up. "Spring is here!" "Spring is here!" The SHSID campus, which accommodates the beautiful scenery of the four seasons, has become a dreamed garden for children. G2 students hugged with the spring breeze, with smiles and shouts. They gave the best wishes for the 30th anniversary of SHSID -- We wish SHSID could be like the sun which lets all elementary students grow freely and enthusiastically here!
