Grade 12 Assembly: The Charm of Tennis
On November 25, Grade 12 students gathered at the Xianmian Annex to participate in the weekly assembly. In this assembly, Eric He from 12(2) and Max Liu from 12(1) introduced the students to the intense competitive sport of tennis and encouraged students to attend the tennis competition hosted at the school to win the limited prize of a tennis racquet plus a tennis ball keychain.
The two speakers started by playing a video showing how professional players play tennis. It featured tennis players running agilely around the tennis court using various techniques such as spinning the ball to win points against their opponents. The motion and intense competitiveness instantly captured the attention of all students and embedded a deep admiration for this sport.
After the general introduction of the sport of tennis and the school tennis competition, Eric He and Max Liu took their tennis racquets onstage and demonstrated imaginary tennis without a tennis ball, leaving a humorous conclusion to the entire promotion. The audience kept the impression of tennis as a competitive sport in their minds when they went to their class.
