Grades 9-10: 2022 Blackout

After school on Friday, November 18th, the long-awaited Blackout event finally arrived. At five o'clock in the afternoon, the opening ceremony made its presence known as numerous dressed-up students waited excitedly outside the doors of Zhentao Building, chatting animatedly, and admiring each other's creative outfits.

After the opening, the students and their friends started to explore the teaching building that was entirely different from its usual state. Members of the ASB had been busy for a long time in their spare time in decorating each room with a new look. The main activity of Blackout this time was the "haunted house" on the basement floor, which revolved around the theme of a "KFC Meat Processing Factory". The visit process was thrilling, and many exclaimed with fear as the suspense floated through the air. Activities on the first floor included the board game room among others. While holding non-alcoholic drinks from the “bar”, students played board games like Monopoly. On the other side of the corridor, there were cinemas and restaurants, and students in need of a rest or just wishing to relax with their friends were often found lounging on the seats. After eating and drinking, many students went to the photo booth to take photos and pictures to note down this moment in their youth. The face painting service in the corridor was also loved by the students, with the detailed and beautiful patterns and smiles being the best proof.

The Blackout event carefully prepared by the ASB won unanimous praise from the students, and we also thank them deeply for all for their hard work and efforts in making Blackout such a memorable event in this school year.
