U15 Boys Football Defeat YKPAO 6-0 in Season Opener

On Tuesday, November 15th, 2022, SHSID’s Stallions’ U15 boys’ soccer team encountered their first away-game in the 2022-2023 season against YKPAO, which resulted in a 6-0 huge victory against the opposing team.

The Stallions led the first half with the score of 3-0. The first goal came from John Hwang, who used his fast feet to dribble past several YKPAO defenders and scored. After scoring the first goal, the Stallions managed to find their rhythm. Soon after the first goal, Joshua Choi, with his powerful shot, found the back of the net of the opponent’s goal and John Hwang, once again, shot a speedy ground ball that went right into the opponent’s net. Near the end of first half, it was clear that the Stallions were suppressing YKPAO.

After a halftime talk from the coaches, the Stallions took to the field with intensity. During the second half, YKPAO started to play more aggressively. However, due to our brilliant defense by Aichen Zhuang and Ricky Jin, the Stallions were able to block all of the opponent’s attacks. John Hwang, once again, scored two more goals and helped to secure our lead to 5-0. One last goal was from Iain Davidson, who received a through-pass from John Hwang and scored. The final score was 6-0 to SHSID.

All the players tried their best and played very well despite being their first game this season. The Stallions are looking forward to keeping the winning streak going.
