The Sports Day at Lingang Campus: One Team, One Dream

The autumn sun is bathing the children's jumping heart, while the breeze is blowing the children's face with laughter. On the morning of October 12th, the second autumn Sports Day of SHSID Lingang Campus officially kicked off. The first and second grade students in blue and orange T-shirts each sweated on the field as a class and enjoyed the beauty of sports.

First of all, Mr. Tansey, our teacher representative, extended a cheering speech to all the students. Afterwards, Alano from class 2-2 shared his understanding of sportsmanship as an athlete representative, saying, "Not only do we need to try our best to win the games, but we also need to show our respect to others. Don't forget to give a round of applause to all sportsmen. Only through healthy competition within the team and with other teams, can we walk further and faster.”

After that, all of the children from SHSID Lingang Campus and some junior high school students from ESHS took turns to put on a Judo performance, with their energetic performances showing the style of students studying in Lingang. The Chinese and foreign teachers sang a song, followed with the beautiful notes conveying the good wishes of "all dreams will do" through the green field. The successful holding of the Lingang Campus Sports Day was also inseparable from the full support of East Shanghai High School, whose principal, Mr. Xu Yuecan, soon after announced the Sports Day had officially begun!

In the process of the competition, the athletes on the field fought hard to participate, shouted and cheered outside the field. In the individual events, the children tried their best and showed their vitality between a jump, a throw, and a rush. At the same time, each class was united and showed the charm of sports competition while racing. The last and most exciting event was the 50-meter sprint race. Once the starting gun sounded, the endless cheering brought the games to a climax as well as a successful end.

The teachers of Lingang Campus carefully arranged this sports event, which combined "fun" and “competition”. The young athletes were fully engaged, giving their best effort, feeling happy, making a blueprint for building dreams together. We hope that our Lingang students can continue to be cheerful and surpass themselves on their path of growth!
