Social Sciences Department: Poster Designing and Subject Classroom Decoration

The High School Social Sciences Department covers a number of social science disciplines such as economics, business, law, psychology, etc. It offers multi-dimensional courses including IB, AP, A-level, as well as Business Management, Accounting, Introduction to Law among others, to provide students with a variety of course options to meet their needs for the development of their interests. In the first month of the 2022 school year, high school students taking social science courses have carefully produced a series of subject posters to decorate the newly renovated subject classrooms in Xianmian Building with their own learning content as the background.

These posters are rich in content and creative in design, and the themes involve economics, business, psychology, law, etc. Among them, some summarize the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, some compare the business indicators of Tmall and JD.com, some vividly demonstrate the reason why human society needs laws, and many incisive remarks by famous scholars. The poster wall has attracted many students and teachers who use the classroom. They stopped to watch, lamenting the ingenuity and passion of the students, and also saw the richness of the course content in the Social Science Department.

The courses of the department focus on the practical application and interdisciplinary learning, aiming to improve students' attention and understanding to the real-world issues as well as the formation of interdisciplinary thinking. It is hoped that the students will continue to develop their subject interests, expand the breadth of their social science studies, and use the knowledge to help them better understand and change the world.
