Grades 11-12: ASB Elections

On September 14th, the Grade 11 and 12 students gathered at the Xianmian Annex Auditorium to participate in the ASB candidate election. The candidates had devoted themselves to preparing their presentations and videos in the past weeks and the videos and they received huge waves of applause from the audience. It was a rewarding and interactive experience for all candidates and voters.

The candidate presentation started from students in Grade 11. This semester is their first entrance into Xianmian Building as well as many new courses. Some of the students were self-conscious but all of them demonstrated great passion into devoting themselves to the ASB and speaking on behalf of the students, no matter if they had had past ASB membership experience.

In between the short speeches made by the ASB candidates, Raymond, the host, lightened the atmosphere by asking interesting and creative questions to the candidates. After the Grade 12 candidates, mostly from the ASB members of the previous year, made their short presentations, the videos were played in order and the audience cast their votes as they made their final decisons.
