Grade 9：Back-to-School Parents' Meeting Held

Both family education and school education play important roles in the growth of students. In order to further strengthen the interconnectedness between students’ families and the school, as an important part of the High School Launch Lesson activity, the ninth-grade class held an online back-to-school parents’ meeting on the evening of September 9th.

With all parents entering the online meeting room, the parents’ meeting officially began at 6 p.m. Mr. Ma Feng, the Principal of the SHSID high school, first gave a lecture on the general introduction of academic life in high school. Starting from the school's educational purpose of "To provide the foundations for life-long development", Principal Ma gave a detailed introduction to the school's comprehensive curriculum system and resource allocation around the individual development of students. Principal Ma also advocated to view students’ development from a long-term scale and shared some stories of past alumni who still maintained a strong persistence after graduation and achieved good harvests in their respective fields. Subsequently, Ms. Liu Min, the Vice Principal of the SHSID high school, started from the differences in the study and life of the middle and high schools, and put forward suggestions and requirements for the students and parents from the four aspects of "initiative", "approaches to learning", "decision making", and "individual pacing". Ms. Chen Lin introduced the Teacher Advisor program to parents in great detail: advisors with diverse subject backgrounds, a convenient consultation process, and abundant activities. It is believed that these resources will help students better discover themselves.

The second session of the parents’ meeting was held in the online meeting room of each homeroom class. The homeroom teachers gave parents a detailed introduction to all aspects of high school life so that parents could quickly have a comprehensive understanding of high school life.

The parents’ meeting of the new semester ended successfully at 8 p.m. This online parent meeting has built a bridge between students’ families and the school. With the concerted cooperation of family and school, we hope all students can achieve self-exploration and make new breakthroughs while on the new journey.
