Lingang Grade 1: The Start of School Life

September is the month of greetings and wishes. The first graders’ lively eyes, cheerful laughter and active figures bring infinite vitality to SHSID Lingang campus in September. In order to help this new group adapt to the new environment faster, G1 students spent the first two weeks of September slowly increasing their knowledge of the new school and accepting their new identity as "elementary school students" by participating in various activities inside and outside the classroom.

In the first week at school, the first graders received personal letters from second graders, which encourages them to learn more about the teachers, school activities, as well as school life. G1 students also gained a good sense of hope for their future elementary school life from the letters. The first graders also wrote back, and the letters were like beating notes, full of love and expectation for our new school. Percy from Class 1 wrote: I came to this school because I want to learn more about mathematics. I am very happy to start my school life with you. In the second week, the first graders handed their letters to the second graders as a token of appreciation. They were a little shy, but with their eyes full of anticipation, as if to say, ‘We are alumni now, nice to meet you!’

During these two weeks of learning, the first graders introduced their lives to the whole school with photos and drawings in their Personal Growth class, and measured the campus with their feet on a sunny afternoon. The beauty of the campus by the lake made the first graders linger and praise. The beautiful scenery and smiling faces were reflected in the beautiful learning journey, blessing our first-year lovelies at SHSID Lingang campus!
