Grades 11-12: Club Fair 2022

September 8, 2022

Here at SHSID, there are countless erudite and eventful clubs that reflect interest and passion of its high school students. On September 7th, 2022, juniors and seniors held their annual club fair in front of Xianmian Building to promote their unique clubs.

As lunch break began, all 95 clubs in Grades 11 and 12 set up their own booths and carried out astonishing activities to portray the distinct characteristics of their clubs. These varied from melodious singing clubs to action-packed chess duels. What was more, some clubs displayed stunning drawings by their gifted future artists, some held live trivia contests, and some societies even displayed thrilling scientific experiments. Apart of these dashing attractions, many other clubs portrayed their glowing academic achievements to visiting students. Students were also eager and willing to aid those in need. In regard to such, there were also various charity clubs, ranging from those who provide classes for children in rural areas to those who perform music in hospitals, in hopes to spread more goodwill to our society.

Everyone who visited the scene saw the various activities held by their peers and learned about the different clubs, and excitedly expressed their desire to join various clubs. Club culture has always been an enormous part of high school students’ at SHSID. In fact, many individuals discovered their delights in the future through fabulous club events. To some students, they even consider certain clubs as their “second home”.

In this exhibition of new club recruitment, a variety of clubs with shining characteristics was displayed. We hope all students can develop their own enjoyment and join “families” of different clubs!
