2022 SHSID High School Online Parent School Held

The high school Parent School has been held for six consecutive years, and each time, the schoolteachers and/or external experts have carried out various short lectures and exchange activities. From 19:00 to 21:00 on May 31st, a new parent school session was held for SHSID’s high school section. 22 parents from Grades 9 & 10 participated in this activity. Due to the epidemic, this parent school was held online. Principal Ma first spent 30 minutes introducing a wide range of information regarding the status of the school, including the school philosophy, operation rationales, school culture, and characteristics, and he also shared his understanding of the educational goals of high school. In the remaining time, Principal Ma had an open and candid talk with 22 parents, answering any and all questions they had had. The topics included the latest online classes, strength of the teaching staff, school resources, course selections, college applications, and other aspects of the school. This activity enhanced the parents' understanding of the school's culture and work priorities, and it enabled the school to understand more deeply about the parents' most updated concerns, all of which allowed both sides to respond with a proactive attitude. In this special semester, this parent school served as a good opportunity to strengthen the mutual trust and close collaboration between the school and the parents.
