Middle School Math Department: Congratulations to IMMC 2022 Greater China Region Awarded Teams!

The International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC or IM2C) is an innovative mathematical modeling competition for all secondary school students worldwide. The competition was jointly founded by IMMC NeoUnion ESC, IEEE Asia, and Hong Kong Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The topic of the 8th annual IMMC (IMMC2022) Greater China Regional contest continues to reflect the interdisciplinary integration of mathematics and technology, engineering, and the application of mathematics within society advocated by STEM education.

The outstanding teams from SHSID middle school section have gone through the challenges of IMMC2022 autumn, winter, and international competitions. They overcame the hardships caused by the pandemic, passed multiple rigorous paper reviews, and finally stood out among approximately 800 teams from the greater China region. They represent the best level of papers submitted this year. And after an initial online evaluation and final review, one team from SHSID was granted Finalist, and six teams were awarded as Meritorious.

Let’s congratulate them on their exceptional achievements, and we expect to see more SHSIDers engage and shine in future math activities and events.
