ZTB Teachers’ Performance at the Art Festival: A Wonderful Journey to SHSID History Museum

During this year’s art festival, the teachers’ performance held quite a surprise for the students. Different from past years’ performances, this time, the teachers decided to try a different take on the performance. Through the teachers’ acting and narrating, they led the audience through different time periods in the history of China. Using their proficient acting skills and elaborate costumes, they recreated the Qin dynasty, the travels during the Han dynasty, the three warrior states period, the Tang dynasty, and the Song dynasty all depicted in the famous painting “Along the River during the Qingming Festival”, and the Sino-Western cultural communications during the Yuan and Ming dynasties.

The performance effectively combined history and the arts into one, entertaining the students while, at the same time, helping them learn more about Chinese history. Most importantly, it helped the international students get to know more about the traditional culture of China.
