Grade 6: Art Festival Rehearsal

December 13, 2021

During Youth Development class on December 9, the sixth-grade students had a rehearsal for Art Festival in school’ auditorium. All the students have practiced for a long time in their music classes and clubs. The annual Art Festival is a stage for students to show their artistic talents, and music classes and club activities provide great support for students to perform on stage.

Firstly, the dance programs came to stage. Accompanied by dazzling background and dynamic music, the students’ dancing attracted excited cheers from the audience. “Huo Yuanjia,” “Go Go,” “Happy Planet,” and other dances filled the auditorium with a happy atmosphere. The bamboo flute performance brought Chinese style music, and the sound of the flutes was melodious. The following instrumental ensemble “Victory” made everybody even more excited.

The next performances were from art clubs. The students of Yu Yin Club performed a Peking Opera song “Ode to Pear Flowers.” Although they didn’t wear costumes, their singing and dancing showed the charm of Peking Opera. Chorus students then sang and walked through the audience to the stage. Their harmony was beautiful and intoxicating. The dance of SPDC Pop Dance Club also attracted everyone’s attention. And the last one, the Christmas dance from the foreign teachers, brought great joy and happiness.

Because the rehearsal is the first time the students performed on stage, the music teachers could adjust the programs if they found any problems. All the students and teachers put great effort into preparing for the Art Festival on December 16. Let’s look forward to the big and happy festival together!
