High School Chinese Department: The Writing Competition

December 1, 2021

On November 26, 2021, all high-school Chinese teachers gathered together to discuss the World Chinese Student Writing Competition.

Teachers began to collect students’ essays from late September onwards, with all the articles having been received. Teachers now need to carefully and rigorously analyze and compare these articles and select the best works to participate in the finals. All students from grades 9 to 12 whose Chinese levels are above 8 participated in this competition.

SHSID has always attached importance on Chinese. Teachers tried their best to improve students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through various methods. In addition, teachers encourage students to participate in high-level competitions outside the school to show what they have learned. According to the data over the years, SHSID students have performed very well in Chinese writing and debate events.

Let's wait and see the results and the success of this year'sWorld Chinese Student Writing Competition!
