Grade 12: Art In My Soul

On the bright morning of November 18th, seniors gathered in the Xianmian Annex again for another assembly where Stephanie Sun presented her artwork.

Talking about her inspirations from cells, Stephanie introduced how she attempted to represent cellular composition through installation, colored pencil drawings, and other creative approaches such as burning the center of the paper to indicate the importance of fire. Throughout the speech, Stephanie exemplified her beliefs that art inspiration is something that can come from daily life. An artist does not necessarily need to be going through some emotional changes in order to produce artwork. To her, art is the core of the soul. It is more like a feeling where she cannot verbally explain. Nevertheless, she hopes students can all find their passion and find what is key to their souls.
