Middle School Math Department: Australian Mathematics Competition 2021 Awards

The 2021 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was held online and in the respective center as scheduled. Nearly 40,000 primary and secondary school students from more than 2,000 international and local schools in China participated in the competition.

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) is sponsored by one of the world’s leading academic institutions, the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT). The purpose of the AMT is to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics for students of all standards.The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing 16 million students to attempt the same tasks on the same day in over 32 countries around the globe. The innovative questions and multilingual questions allow math enthusiasts worldwide to interact with each other, learn together, and understand the importance of math in their lives.

A special shout out to the students from our school for their outstanding performance during the AMC. They have won 3 PETER O'HALLORAN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE (Full marks), 3 PRIZE (A-E level top 0.3%), 12 HIGH DISTINCTION, 45 DISTINCTION, 47 CREDIT, and 25 PROFICIENCY awards from the exam.

We acknowledge the effort of students from SHSID in their participation in the competition. Once again, congratulations to all award winners, and we look forward to seeing our students continue their outstanding work in the upcoming mathematics events!
