Grade 10: Introduction to Modern Calligraphy

During the Assembly on Oct. 20th, Celeste delivered an excellent lecture about her experience with calligraphy. She began with her own encounter with the art of calligraphy. From there, she briefly introduced the history of modern calligraphy, along with its characteristics and its applications in brand designing. Chinese calligraphy has many distinct fonts, such as Official, Regular, Semi-cursive, and Cursive; in the remaining time, Celeste explained these fonts in-depth, sharing the details in their writing styles, histories, and modern applications. To her, calligraphy is not only a matter of making characters look beautiful but a way to express her style and achieve a calm, creative state of mind.
