Grade 11: Cheerleading Practice
In the CAS classes on Sep. 29, students split into three groups: going to rehearse for cheerleading, rehearsing for radio gymnastics, and team building, respectively. The students in all the groups had a rewarding experience.
Students who were in the cheerleading group went to Yifu Building and other rehearsing places directly after 2:10 p.m. to start their cheerleading practice. In the selection of the rehearsing location, the students demonstrated understanding to others, and they efficiently chose their own spots. Under the guidance of each homeroom’s dance instructor, all the students were highly focused and learned the dance moves with all their efforts. They were all filled with the determination to win honor for their homeroom in the cheerleading competition.
Students rehearsing for radio gymnastics arrived at the specified room at 3:10 p.m. and practiced radio gymnastics under the guidance of Ms. Wu Chen. All the students were in high spirits with their standard and powerful moves, hoping to show the strong demeanor of the school at the sports meet.
Other students were engaging in team building in their own classrooms. Every class chose differentiated activities. Such activities enhanced the friendships among the students, making the teams more harmonious, and enriched students’ outlooks on school life, getting some relaxation time during a tense study period in their academic lives.
At the end of this rich CAS class, all the students had their own gains and rewards. Through organizing this effective in-class activity, the students were able to pull away from their busy academic materials and enjoy exercises.
