Grade 11 Parents Meeting Held Successfully

On the evening of September 26, 2021, the parents meeting for the 11th -grade students was held in the Grand Auditorium and Xianmian Building.

First of all, in the auditorium, High School Principal Mr. Ma Feng, described the changes of the school system in recent years. Then Principal Ma also demonstrated the importance of parents being optimistic and thoughtful educators for their students. After that, Ms. Zhang Li,High School Vice Principal, spoke on college applications. She explained that the to-do list for the entire 11th -grade student body is to work hard to improve their academic performance, take standardized tests, focus on certain activities with passion, and follow all the updates given by the school. Ms. Zhang next went on to talk about how important mental health is and how important it is that students consult with teachers when they have troubles. Lastly, she informed parents and students of the plans during winter break and the semester. After the speeches by Mr. Ma and Ms. Zhang, Ms. Wu Chen, the grade supervisor of 11th Grade, summarized all the key points.

Next, parents and students went back to Xianmian Building and met with their homeroom teachers. Each homeroom teacher gave a speech about the plan for the next two years and the consensus and cooperation between the students and parents. The presentation further focused on the IB, AP, A-level, and standardized exams in the coming year. The teachers encouraged the students to make a schedule to keep good pacing and spur themselves and attend some university lectures that they are interested in during the year.

The parents meeting ended at around 8:00. Parents and students are now more informed about what to do in Grade 11 and what is ahead of them.
