Puxi Campus Grade 1: Welcome Grade-1 Students!

At the end of summer, Grade-1 students came to SHSID’s campus with enthusiasm.

The decorations showed how we welcomed our cute little newcomers. A balloon bridge was set at the entrance of the primary section’s building, and lovely welcome boards were around everywhere. Every G1 student held the hands of their parents and was excited to share everything around them exclaiming how “SHSID is like an amusement park!”

Look! Each door is an entrance to a whole new world. Some lead to Dojo Monsters’ paradise, some lead to Legoland, and some may open the doors to a world of animals and plants!

These Grade-1 students are ready to starta new school life. The growth-mindset posters on the wall help them discover their potential. The daily schedule guides them to set their goals. The reading corner provides them a space where they can explore the diverse world around them. We expect our students to understand their feelings when at the cool-down spot. The classroom jobs assigned to students aim to help them feel a sense of accomplishment. Each class is a small globalized world. Every student will also learn how to be a global citizen here.

The teachers are all kind and gentle. They designed various activities for a smooth orientation that helped students not only know more about each other but also learn the school rules before school formally starts. There was a challenge at the end of the day: students needed to take the school bus independently. The teachers sent the students to the parking lot; the school-bus attendants went through a series of temperature measurements and verification work, helped the students with their schoolbags, and sent them to get on the school bus. All students were very excited. After a few minutes, they were sent home safely.

We hope all Grade-1 students have a fantastic year at SHSID !
