Joint Activities of Chinese and Foreign Education: Success - To Be a Better Self
On the afternoon of May 24, more than 50 Chinese and foreign teachers gathered in the recording room of Zhentao Building to listen to Ms. Zhang Hong's professional lecture on “Unleash Your Talents”.
Ms. Zhang Hong is an Executive Coach and Leadership Coach as well as a Certified Strength Coach. Before entering the coaching industry, Ms. Zhang Hong had been engaged in enterprise management and training, helping many clients develop and achieve their true potential.
Ms. Zhang first introduced the professional nature of coaching as an industry to the teachers. Coaching is a process of expanding thinking and establishing a new perspective with clients. The clients can maximize their personal and professional potential to achieve the best performance possible. There is a similarity that coaching as a profession has to the teaching profession. As educators, teachers are spreading science and cultural knowledge; meanwhile, they also constantly guide students to learn independently and stimulate their potential.
Through animation and case-sharing, Ms. Zhang shared how to stimulate potential and strength, and she gave a new definition of success and offered up five key points: (1) success should be diverse; (2) everyone can become a unique self; (3) we should not cover up our shortcomings; (4) success has different advantages and characteristics; and (5) we should all strive to become our best version of ourselves. This also deeply inspired the teachers in the following five ways: to encourage our students (1) to recognize and affirm themselves; (2) take the initiative to grasp their own life goals; (3) not to imitate others and to determine their goals; (4) to try new fields bravely by exploring their goals and interests; and (5) to make today better than yesterday.
