Puxi Campus Grade One: Exciting Job Day!

May 14, 2021

This week in Social Studies, we had an inspiring dress-up day. Grade 1 has been learning all about different jobs in our community. Did you know that jobs can be split into two categories? Jobs that provide a service and jobs that sell goods.

We asked our students to think about what jobs they would like to have when they grow up. Do they want to help people? Do they want to create things? Do they want to discover and explore new places? On Wednesday, the students had the opportunity to dress up as their future selves doing their future job. We had a variety of different professions, such as writers, scientists, doctors, vets, artists, singers, chefs, flight attendants, and many more. The students got the opportunity to share information about their future job with their peers and hear all about everyone else’s chosen careers. We think the future is looking bright for our first graders!
