Puxi Campus Grade 4: Visit Historical Buildings, Embrace Development of the New Era

May 10, 2021

Shanghai is a prosperous and modern metropolitan with hundreds of historical architectures. SHSID students have been living in this city for quite a long time, and they visited these historical buildings during the labor day break. Students presented their visit and learning through posters and videos, showing the long history of Shanghai and the change of the city in the past one hundred years.

Some students visited parks and towns with a long history, for example, the relics of Guangfu Lin and the ancient town of Jin Ze. Some visited heritage architecture, such as Garden Bridge and the Red Mansion. Others visited the former residences of celebrities, such as the residence of Laszlo Hudec. In the projects, students explained the history and current situation of the historical buildings, highlighting several tour spots for a more detailed introduction.

Through the visits, students had a better understanding of history and the change of the past 100 years in Shanghai, feeling the pulse of the era and revolution of the society.
