Social Sciences Department: Faculty Seminar

At the beginning of April, the faculty members of the Social Sciences Department gathered together and had a group meeting with the Head of Department Ms. Zhang Li. In this meeting, the members discussed the future plans and arrangement of this semester. New textbooks would be used from the next school year for AP Economics courses. This not only would enrich the teaching materials, but also promote teachers’ self-improvement. Besides, the teachers had a brainstorm and made arrangements on the MIX Day event that would be held in June, hoping to stimulate students’ interest towards social sciences subjects through various interesting activities. Later, Ms. Gu in the department introduced certain apps and softwares that could help draw economic diagrams. Through her presentation, those complicated diagrams could be drawn quickly and nicely, which could effectively help teachers and students when they need to do graphing.
