Grade 8: Creative Chinese Homework

March 12, 2021

Enjoying a relaxing and cheerful winter vacation is crucial, yet doing some winter homework to enrich time is just as essential.

For the winter Chinese H level homework, the students chose between two of the most famous and influential books from Chinese literary history and did a short magazine on their choice.

Their magazines focused on either “The Hero in Liangshan” or “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” The students were required to consider heroism, leadership, the role of women, and their point of view on the text. In this piece of homework, the students not only used words but also decorations on the cover page and the neat layouts. These images highlighted the depth of Chinese literary culture vividly.

After careful deliberations, some of the best works were selected to be displayed in the corridor of the Zhentao building, waiting for passing students and teachers to learn more about Chinese literary history.
