Pudong Campus Grade 1: The Vanishing Virus

On Tuesday, February 23rd, the first graders of SHSID Pudong Campus had their first PG class of the second semester. During class, teachers reviewed the information with the students about the novel coronavirus pneumonia and told them that they should wash their hands frequently, get more exercise and wear masks properly. After that, everyone started to draw all kinds of viruses on a piece of paper and put them into a plastic bag. When the bag was immersed in the water, the magic happened! The children were surprised to find that the colorful viruses on the cards had disappeared. Everyone was so curious and amazed that it was because of the principle of the refraction of light!

Through this activity, the students not only learned scientific knowledge but also understood the importance of maintaining personal hygiene. What a fun class!
