Grade 6: Guess Lantern Riddles

The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival that signals the end of the New Year festival period. On February 25th, the sixth-grade students held an intriguing riddle-guessing activity in the youth development class to celebrate this festival.

The grade 6 homeroom teachers prepared numerous interesting riddles on different topics, some about vehicles, some about fruit, some about historical figures, puzzles, and brain twists. These beautiful lantern riddle cards were hung in the classroom with red ropes, which looked very festive. The students lingered in front of all kinds of lantern riddles, thinking actively and discussing the answers together. From time to time, there were bursts of laughter. Students who figured out the most lantern riddles could win small gifts. In the end, many students received gifts by virtue of their wisdom.

In this youth development class, teachers and students together shared the happiness of guessing lantern riddles and felt the charm of Chinese traditional culture.
